Carpal tunnel syndrome is the compression of the median nerve as it passes through the carpal tunnel of the wrist, commonly causing hand and wrist pain and areas of hand and finger numbness and weakness.
Various factors might increase the risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome in an individual, including their occupation, pregnancy, general anatomy, and a variety of other conditions that can causing narrowing of the carpal tunnel.
